A pocket reference for the northern sky.
Twelve northern hemisphere constellations, the eight solar system bodies (plus the Moon), and the fifteen brightest stars in the night sky. The moon-phase calculator uses Conway's approximation — accurate to about a day, which is fine for knowing whether tonight is good for stargazing or not.
Star distances here come from Hipparcos parallax measurements. Light from Antares left during the rule of Charles VI of France; from Betelgeuse, during the early Renaissance. When you look up, you are looking back.
